Guidelines for a Safe and Fulfilling Yoga Practice
Welcome to Sigi Kolbe Yoga! To ensure a safe and fulfilling Yoga practice, please take note of the following guidelines:
Nourishment: Avoid eating a large meal 1-2 hours before a class to prevent discomfort during your practice.
Hydration: Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after your Yoga session.
Attire: Wear loose and comfortable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement and supports your practice.
Yoga Mat: Please bring your own Yoga mat to the studio for personal hygiene and comfort.
Footwear: In cold weather, you may wear socks for warmth, but keep in mind that they might compromise stability during certain poses.
Props: Consider bringing a blanket and a small pillow for the end of the session to support relaxation and comfort.
Cell Phones: Kindly switch off or silence your cell phone during class to maintain a peaceful and focused environment.
Attendance: We request that there are no spectators or children present during adult classes to maintain a focused atmosphere.
Illness: If you are feeling unwell or have any contagious illness, we advise refraining from practicing until you have recovered.
Non-Competitive Mindset: Remember that Yoga is a non-competitive practice. Let go of any sense of competition and focus on your personal journey.
Punctuality: Yoga is a discipline, and we appreciate your punctuality. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the class start time and plan to stay until the class has finished.
Health Considerations: If you have any chronic disorders, injuries, or if you are pregnant, please consult with your healthcare provider before attending classes.
Mindful Practice: Relax into each pose, avoiding strain or force. Never stretch or bend to the point of pain. Listen to your body and focus on your breath.
We hope these guidelines enhance your Yoga experience and create a supportive environment for all practitioners. We look forward to sharing the transformative journey of Yoga with you!
Remember, Yoga is not just a physical fitness workout program; it is a holistic practice that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.
